For many of today's events, standing around a buffet table listening to a band does not suffice for entertainment. When people attend events, they want to interact and participate in the entertainment. From inflatable games to virtual reality, interactive games are giving event guests an opportunity to be an active part of the event and to have fun. "People are tired of the typical corporate events", says John Wilkinson, president of Northern California's Total Rebound Interactive Games & Team Building. "The active younger work force wants to be involved and be part of the entertainment."

Inflatable games are extremely popular in the corporate event arena from the traditional inflatable rock climbing wall and bungee runs to zanier games such as Total Rebound's Rescue at Sea in which participants work together to save swimmers in shark-invested waters and Human Foosball, a life-size version of the fun table game. "These interactive games have a whimsical fun element, says Wilkinson. Total Rebound has manufactured a wide variety of games for corporate events for Microsoft and Hewlett Packard. "We manufacture unique games that are customized to involve the corporate culture."

In addition to inflatable games, Total Rebound also offers many interactive games such as Game Show Mania complete with scoreboard and hilarious host and Reaction Attraction where players catch falling drops. "These games break down barriers and put everyone on the same playing level because no one has ever played these unique games before. There's a lot of kinetic motion, action and brain and body fun," says Wilkinson. With people becoming more sophisticated, so are the games used at events. Total Rebound's Cabernet Chaos engages teams to compete in a game of grape stomping. Customizing these games with corporate names, logos or messages is a popular trend allowing participants to associate the corporate identity with these fun activities. A version of Scrabble where attendees dive for balls with letters on theme to spell out words customized with a company name or product is a fun and productive way to get a corporate message across.
